The 4th Annual Darrin Horn Ladies Clinic was a HUGE success! We are so thankful for the 68 women that came out to participate in the event on October 22. The Ladies Clinic partners up with the Palmetto Health Foundation each year to make a difference in the effort to find a cure for breast cancer. This year, women of all ages came out to support the cause in a fun and entertaining event. Check out the photo gallery to see for yourself!
It was an early Saturday morning when the women first arrived to the Colonial Life Arena. The USC men’s basketball team was taking their 2011-2012 team photo on the court so the women who arrived early got a chance to watch the boys strike a pose before the Ladies Clinic began.
Curtis Wilson, the charismatic M.C., started the day off with the announcement of the raffle door prizes to include dinner for four at the Blue Marlin and Under Armour apparel. Over 50 door prizes were given away during the Clinic.
The women then got a chance to be the first to view this basketball season’s intro video that will be played before each game. The intense pre-game video is sure to leave Gamecock fans with chills and hype up the crowd before tip-off. It was great to give the ladies VIP treatment by allowing them to be the first audience to see it.
Participation in different stations to include one-on-one time with senior forward, Malik Cooke and a question and answer session with Coach Horn’s wife, Carla was next on the agenda for the women.
Many of the women who came to the event said that their favorite part of the day was the fashion show featuring the coaches and players in various Under Armour outfits. Freshman players Anthony Gill and Damien Leonard switched it up a bit however, dressing more “GQ” for the occasion sporting a bow tie, a sweater vest and even a pink button down!
Everyone really enjoyed themselves at the Clinic which made it an even bigger success! On behalf of Coach Darrin Horn and the USC men’s basketball team, we thank everyone who participated and donated to this great cause! We hope to see you at the Colonial Life Arena again to cheer on the Gamecocks in their first home basketball game on November 3rd!
Go Gamecocks!
